Important Disclaimer
The information on this page is provided for general guidance only. It does not constitute legal or immigration advice. MUFEED LTD is not an immigration adviser and is not registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC). Always verify your specific visa conditions directly with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), UKCISA, or a qualified immigration solicitor.
Your Responsibility
If you are using the MUFEED platform as a Provider and you hold a UK visa, you are solely and entirely responsible for ensuring that your work on the platform complies with the conditions of your visa. Breach of visa conditions is a serious matter and can result in visa curtailment, removal from the UK, and future entry bans.
By using MUFEED as a Provider, you agree that MUFEED bears no responsibility for any consequence arising from your breach of your immigration conditions, including but not limited to: visa curtailment, arrest, detention, deportation, or a ban on re-entry. See our full indemnification clause in our Terms of Service.
General Information — Student Visa (Tier 4 / Student Route)
The following is general information about the Student visa (sometimes called Tier 4). Your specific conditions may differ. Always check the conditions endorsed on your visa Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) or the conditions set out in your visa approval letter.
- Most students on the Student visa route are permitted to work up to 20 hours per week during term time.
- During official university vacation periods (summer, Christmas, Easter), you may generally work full-time, subject to your specific visa conditions.
- Some visa conditions restrict work to 10 hours per week — this is common for students studying below degree level.
- Some Student visas have a no work condition — check your BRP carefully.
- Self-employment may be restricted under some student visas. Platform-based gig work may be considered self-employment by HMRC and UKVI. Seek independent advice.
Graduate Route Visa
Holders of a Graduate Route visa (sometimes called the Post-Study Work visa) generally have the right to work in the UK without restrictions on hours. However, you should verify the conditions of your specific visa grant letter and BRP.
MUFEED's Hour-Tracking Tool
MUFEED provides an optional weekly hours tracker for Providers who declare a student visa. This tool adds up the estimated hours for jobs you have completed on the platform during the current week.
Important limitations of this tool:
- It only tracks hours worked through the MUFEED platform. It does not know about other jobs or employment you may have.
- Hour estimates are based on job completion reports, not actual verified time.
- The tool is provided for convenience only and does not constitute a legal guarantee of compliance.
- MUFEED does not verify visa documents or immigration status.
