LEGAL
TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: 1 January 2026
1. About MUFEED and the Platform
MUFEED LTD (“MUFEED”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a technology platform that facilitates connections between customers seeking services (“Customers”) and independent service providers (“Providers”). MUFEED is registered in England and Wales (Company Number 10865845).
MUFEED IS NOT AN EMPLOYER, EMPLOYMENT AGENCY, OR STAFFING AGENCY. We do not employ Providers. Providers are independent contractors who set their own working conditions and are solely responsible for the services they deliver. MUFEED is not a party to any contract for services between Customers and Providers.
By creating an account and using the MUFEED platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
To use the MUFEED platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under English law.
- If registering as a Provider: have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom for the services you intend to provide.
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration and at all times.
3. Student Visa Compliance
Providers are solely and entirely responsible for understanding and complying with their own immigration and visa conditions, including any restrictions on working hours or types of permitted work.
MUFEED provides optional tools, including weekly hour tracking and visa type information fields, to assist Providers in monitoring their working hours. These tools are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal or immigration advice and may not accurately reflect the specific terms of your visa.
MUFEED does not verify visa documents, does not confirm immigration status, and is not responsible for any immigration enforcement action, visa curtailment, deportation, or other consequence arising from a Provider's breach of their visa conditions. Providers must obtain independent legal advice from qualified immigration solicitors or consult the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) or their university's international student office for advice specific to their circumstances.
By using the platform as a Provider, you irrevocably acknowledge and agree that MUFEED bears no liability whatsoever for any consequence arising from your breach of your visa conditions.
4. Commission and Fees
MUFEED charges the following fees on each completed transaction:
- Customer Service Fee: 5% of the agreed job amount, charged to the Customer at the time of payment. This is non-refundable except where MUFEED determines that a full refund is warranted following a dispute.
- Provider Commission: 10% of the agreed job amount, deducted from the Provider's payout before transfer. This is MUFEED's fee for platform access, payment processing, matching, and dispute resolution services.
Fees are subject to change with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the platform after fee changes constitutes acceptance.
5. Payment and Escrow
When a Customer accepts a Provider's application, the agreed payment amount plus the 5% Customer Service Fee is immediately charged to the Customer's payment method via Stripe and held in escrow. Neither the Customer nor the Provider can access these funds until one of the following occurs:
- The Customer confirms the job is complete — funds are released to the Provider (minus the 10% Provider Commission).
- 72 hours pass after the Provider marks the job as complete without the Customer raising a dispute — funds are automatically released.
- A dispute is resolved in the Provider's favour — funds are released.
- A dispute is resolved in the Customer's favour — a full or partial refund is issued to the Customer (minus any non-refundable Stripe processing fees).
6. Dispute Resolution
Either party may raise a dispute within 72 hours of the Provider marking a job complete. MUFEED will act as mediator. Both parties must cooperate fully with our investigation and provide requested evidence (photographs, communications, receipts, etc.) within 5 business days.
MUFEED's decision on the release of escrow funds is final and binding on both parties. You acknowledge that MUFEED's role is limited to deciding on fund release and does not extend to legal adjudication of claims. You retain the right to pursue other legal remedies independently.
7. Prohibited Services
Providers may not offer and Customers may not request through the MUFEED platform:
- Any service that is illegal under English or UK law.
- Regulated financial advice, regulated legal advice, or regulated medical/clinical services (unless the Provider is a registered professional and explicitly states this).
- Services that require professional licensing that the Provider does not hold (e.g. gas safe work, structural engineering).
- Adult content or services of a sexual nature.
- Any service facilitated for the purpose of money laundering, fraud, or any other criminal purpose.
8. Account Suspension and Termination
MUFEED reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account at our sole discretion, including where we have reason to believe the user has:
- Breached these Terms of Service.
- Provided false or misleading information.
- Engaged in fraudulent activity.
- Caused harm to other users or the MUFEED community.
- Failed to comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.
Upon termination, outstanding escrow funds will be handled in accordance with our dispute resolution process.
9. Indemnification
You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MUFEED LTD, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and successors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the platform; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your breach of any third party's rights, including intellectual property rights or privacy rights; (d) any service you provide or receive through the platform; (e) your breach of any applicable law or regulation, including immigration law; (f) any claim by a third party arising from services provided by you as a Provider; or (g) any inaccuracy in information you provide to the platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MUFEED's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to your use of the platform shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to MUFEED in the twelve (12) month period immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
MUFEED is not liable for: (a) any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; (b) loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill; (c) the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by Providers; (d) the accuracy of user-provided information; (e) any breach of visa or immigration conditions by Providers.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
