LEGAL
ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
Effective date: 1 January 2026
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the standards of conduct required of all MUFEED users — both Customers and Providers — and describes what services may and may not be offered through the platform. This AUP forms part of our Terms of Service.
2. What Providers May Offer
Providers may offer any lawful service that falls within MUFEED's 12 service categories, provided that:
- The service is legal under English and Welsh law.
- The Provider has the skills, tools, and where required, professional qualifications to deliver the service safely and competently.
- The Provider has the legal right to work in the United Kingdom and to perform the specific type of work under their visa conditions.
- The service does not require professional registration or licensing that the Provider does not hold (e.g., Gas Safe registration for gas work, Ofgem licensing for energy supply).
3. Prohibited Uses — All Users
All users are strictly prohibited from:
- Using the platform for any unlawful purpose or in contravention of any applicable law or regulation.
- Providing false, misleading, or inaccurate information in profiles, job listings, applications, or reviews.
- Harassing, abusing, threatening, defaming, or discriminating against other users on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Attempting to bypass the MUFEED payment system by arranging payments directly with the other party outside the platform. All transactions for jobs arranged on MUFEED must be processed through the platform.
- Creating multiple accounts, using another person's identity, or misrepresenting your qualifications.
- Posting or transmitting spam, malware, phishing content, or any material designed to deceive or harm others.
- Scraping, crawling, or otherwise extracting data from the MUFEED platform without written permission.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, server, or database.
4. Conduct Standards for Providers
Providers must at all times:
- Arrive at the agreed time and location, or give reasonable advance notice of any changes.
- Perform work to a reasonable standard of care and skill commensurate with their stated experience.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with Customers at all times.
- Not discuss pricing, discounts, or future bookings outside the MUFEED platform for services first connected through MUFEED, for a period of 12 months from initial introduction.
- Maintain appropriate public liability insurance where the nature of their services requires it.
5. Conduct Standards for Customers
Customers must at all times:
- Provide accurate job descriptions and not misrepresent the scope of work required.
- Ensure the work environment is safe and accessible for Providers to carry out the agreed work.
- Pay through the MUFEED platform and not attempt to withhold funds unreasonably.
- Treat Providers with dignity and respect and not engage in discriminatory conduct.
- Leave honest and fair reviews based on actual experience.
6. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in warnings, suspension of account features, temporary account suspension, or permanent account termination, at MUFEED's sole discretion. We reserve the right to report serious violations to law enforcement authorities. We may also pursue civil remedies for material breaches of this AUP that cause damage to MUFEED or other users.
